OUR APPROACH
The first approach is to define the problem. What is the waste you are worried about? Wastes come in many forms, and it has different requirement of handling them depending on which regulatory umbrella category the wastes fall under. Sometimes the problem will be a minor process changes that can be resolved by modifying a chemical feed or recycling a byproducts stream, which can simplify the waste management requirements. But in some situations that wouldn’t be the case. However, it’s often better to approach the process as a whole rather than merely tacking a Band-Aid on the end, hoping it all will work out. We have the means to understand both the FEED process as well as the back-end waste treatment. Depending on the type of process plant operation and the type of waste the plant generate, the approach for handling the waste/residue may be a simple single unit operation or it may be a complex production operation, containing numerous interactive unit operations.
